Hello Bella Diva
Its been a Hot a Minute since my last blog. I apologize!! This time of year gets extra crazy with events and deadlines and…just life. Who else gets overwhelmed this time of year?
Sooooooo I have learned to put things in order of priority much better these days so stress doesn’t take over. Which by the way, has helped in all areas of my life and the more you do it the easier it gets and you realize all the extra stress and anxiety does not need to be there!!!
Tis The Season
Okay we know this time year approaches much quicker then we ever anticipate. I feel as though Holiday season really snuck up fast this year for some reason.
I think we all know by now December is that month of extra parties, extra food and drink and our time gets sucked away which in return puts our workouts last. With that said, lets discuss some ways and reminders on how we can still Enjoy this time of year without becoming grouchy, bitchy and ba-humbug women! haha.
This is truly a wonderful time of year, yet most of us can’t wait for it to end. Lets change that!!!
Healthy Holiday Ideas
Think Color. Make a plate look festive by including fruits and veggies. Aim to cover half the plate.
Bottom Line
Enjoy the holidays, pick and choose what you really want, exercise even if its 15-20 minutes (check out www.FitDivaDecks.com for motivaton), it still helps and most importantly to do any of this…be MIND-FULL!!!!!!
Healthier Holiday Snacks & Appetizers
Here are 2 of my simplest and healthy Apps I go to often. ALWAYS a crowd pleaser.
This is one of my ABSOLUTE EASY go-tos.
Diva-licious Recipe
Trader Joe Spinach Kale Greek Yogurt Dip & Jumbo Lump Crab Meat
- Buy 1-2 containers kale dip and spread it in a cute 8×8 baker
- Preheat oven to 325′
- Open and pick through the crab meat and layer it on top of the Dip
Bake for 10-12 minutes until warm. The broil for a few minutes on low.
Dippers: Love using light thin tortilla chips! Adds a little salt and crisp.
Everyone WILL love this easy, healthy and most importantly diva-licious app.
Again with the TJ Spinach Kale dip or any favorite creamy dip…
Diva-licious Recipe
Won ton Kale Cups
The won ton magic trick! I know by now you have seen some of my posts on how Easy and Awesome it is to use the traditional Won ton for some of the best bite size apps and desserts.
- Found in the produce area in publix
- The one below, I used the TJ kale dip and also a TJ product: Roasted pepper spread. YUM
- Preheat oven: 350′
- Gently place each won ton into regular size muffin tin *they tear easy*
- Then scoop your dip of choice in each won ton cup almost 3/4 way to the top.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. or until the edges of the won ton brown.
Try to make them right before your event, as they taste best still lightly warm and crisp.
Good Luck!!
