Diet Diva-liciously

Sooooo its the first week after the New Year and you probably went on that same ole boring, bland food “diet” again that has endless chicken, veggies, salad blah blah blah.
Remember, food and nutrition is 80% of this equation for ANY of your health and fitness goals. Which means….in order to stick with your program as a lifestyle you MUST love what your eating! Have fun with your meals and snacks and try to be prepared the best your can. With that said, here is a new Diva-licious protein, good fats & lower carb sweet treat. Great to have as a mid day snack or even when that sweet tooth calls after dinner.

The recipe is made with my favorite All Natural no artificial, sweet tasting Whey Protein.  IF you cannot have whey or diary you can use another vanilla protein that is best for your body.  I would just add a few drops of vanilla liquid stevia.

Coco-nutty Pumpkin Protein bites

*Full of Fiber, good fats and protein!
Makes 14-16 balls OR store it in a bowl and spoon out a serving and use it as a topping on a rice cake for a mid day snack.
Must be stored in refrigerator

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or almonds
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates
  • 1/4 cranberries
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1.5 scoop vanilla protein powder (isagenix my fav)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 2 tablespoon gr flax (I used TJ) ????
  • 1.5 tsp ALL spice
Directions:
  • Place nuts in food processor and pulse til pulverized.
  • Then add rest and blend till it clumps together.
  • Then use damp hands and form 1 inch balls.
  • Chill overnight to firm
